Short rules of the tournament
- The Akhvlediani Cup is held in two stages – preliminary and Final..
- The preliminary stage for the Super League teams that took 1st to 8th places in the Russian Championship in 2025 (CR 2025) is participation in the 80th Anniversary of Victory Cup (Victory Cup, VC).
- The Final Six of the Russian Cup includes 4 teams that qualified for the semifinals of the CR 2026, the winner of the Victory Cup and the team that qualified based on the results of the preliminary stage of the Akhvlediani Cup.
- If there is a vacant place in the Final Six (For example, if the 2026 CR semi-finalist is also the winner of the Victory Cup) The WWF Executive Committee decides to issue a Special Invitation for one of the teams on a competitive basis.

Round 1 of the preliminary stage
Summary of Round 1
- In the first round of the preliminary stage, 4 groups are formed based on the "snake" principle from the Super League teams that took 9th-14th places at the end of the 2025 Russian Championship and all the teams of the A-League.
- The teams of the groups play in one round according to the system each with each in the first stage of the first round.
- The 4 group winners advance to the second stage and play a two-match series with a golden set.
- The 2 winners of the series of the second stage of the first round advance to the third stage and play a series of two matches with a golden set.
- The winning team in the first round of the preliminary stage qualifies for the semi-finals of the 2nd round.

Final Six
Summary of the Final Six
- Participants of the Final Six have the right to submit applications for the Final Six on commercial terms before 12:00 p.m. on March 17, 2026.
- The decision on the venue of the Final is made by the competition committee and approved by the Executive Committee.
- If there are no applications, the Final will be held on a neutral field as designated by the VFV.
- In the Final Six, the teams that qualified from the 2026 CR semi-finals will be divided into subgroups according to the "snake" principle, and the teams that won the playoffs of the Akhvlediani Cup and the Victory Cup will be drawn at the VFV office on March 17, 2026.
- The Final Six games will be played in two subgroups between April 28 and April 30, 2026.
- The winners of the subgroups will meet on May 2, 2026 in the semifinals with the second-place teams in the other subgroups.
- The winners of the semifinals will meet on May 3, 2026 in the first place match, while the losers will meet in the 3rd place match.
